My name is Bill Scott. My wife, Cindy, and I have been blessed with three sons, all now grown. Our boys were homeschooled on our ranch in Sedalia. During those years, we lived next door to Doyle Roth, who became a mentor to me and a beloved “cowboy uncle” to our sons. Each of our sons has pursued an accomplished career — two served in the Marines, and one worked in television news broadcasting. It is now a joy to my soul to have all three working alongside me. My brother and I are partners in a company that manufactures concrete forms. During the first few years of our marriage, Cindy taught children who were hearing impaired. She later devoted herself to homeschooling our sons through high school. In addition to being actively involved in nearly every aspect of church life, she has served for many years with the Billy Graham Evangelistic Association’s prayer line.

In our early years of marriage, Cindy and I ministered together through Sunday school and youth groups. We also oversaw the LBC AWANA program for several years. For the past twelve or thirteen years, we have been involved in a seniors’ Bible study. We both served in leadership there: Cindy focused primarily on pastoral care, while I shared in that ministry I also oversaw the teaching.

The Lord has given both of us a heart for hospitality. We love gathering with fellow believers and reaching out to those who do not yet know Christ. We moved from Sedalia to Elizabeth, where we have more room to host large gatherings and special events. One of Cindy’s passions has been the father-daughter campout, which we hosted at our ranch for many years—with tremendous help from wonderful friends such as Annie Kennicutt and Kathy Wilson, to name just two of the many who served alongside us.

In addition to the blessing of our sons, the Lord has brought three lovely young women into our family. We have two daughters-in-law and will soon welcome our third. We are also delighting in our new roles as grandparents to two beautiful grandchildren.

My Vision for the Church

When I was first saved, I asked the Lord to lead me and teach me. He has been faithful and patient in doing exactly that throughout the years. This is what I desire for our new church—that the Lord would lead us and teach us.

We naturally bring many traditions with us, but I want us to remain open to wherever the Lord leads and be responsive to everything He shows us, primarily through His Word. The true authority of our church should be Jesus Christ Himself, our Chief Shepherd, and His revealed Word, which must always stand above the traditions of men.

I would like us to remain a church committed primarily to expository preaching. Along with that, I want us to be known for our love, love for one another, and love for those outside the church. I hope we will nurture a deep desire to see people saved and help them develop a strong, enduring faith in Christ.

I see Colorado Bible Church as a work of the Lord. I see Him bringing together those He has called into a close, family-like congregation, a people passionately seeking to follow Him. My vision is for a church devoted to using its spiritual gifts to advance the gospel and build up the body of Christ, while looking forward with joyful anticipation to the return of our Lord and Messiah.

My Testimony of Faith

“Blessed and thankful” — those are the two words that best describe my life. The Lord drew me to Himself during my college years. He opened my eyes to the sinful condition of my heart. Looking back, it seems that this should have been obvious to me, but I was self-justified and unaware of how far the things I lived for and loved had drawn my heart away from Him. The Lord graciously shone His light into my heart and showed me the truth about myself. When the conviction of the Holy Spirit brought me to that realization, I did the only thing I knew to do: I told God how sorry I was and pleaded with Him to forgive me. At that point in my life, I had a basic understanding of the gospel—enough to know that the Lord is willing to forgive anyone who comes to Him. I understood that if I were to come to God, it would not be because of anything good in me, but only through His grace. If I were to describe how I felt at that time, I would point to Jesus’ words in Matthew 5. I was poor in spirit and mourning over my sin. I was teachable and eager to learn whatever the Lord wanted to show me. I had a deep hunger for righteousness and a desire to walk with Him. I was so grateful for the Lord’s grace that I wanted to do whatever He asked and follow wherever He led. That is where I was then, and I truly believe that is where I remain fifty-two years later—not trying to earn His grace but gratefully seeking to follow and obey Him.

My story begins with my parents. I was born into a nominally Catholic home and baptized as an infant. Within a year, some neighbors invited my parents to a Bible study in their home. There they came to know God personally, through a relationship with Jesus, in the pages of Scripture.

That was the soil I was planted in. I now realize my parents were new believers. As a child, all I knew was that my home was saturated with God’s love. There was a passion for the Bible, small groups in our living room, and long sermons to sit through. I have vivid memories of coming downstairs in the morning and finding my mom at the kitchen table, Bible open, study in progress. That’s how the Gospel reached me. I accepted it as a child accepts things. Fast forward several decades. Erika and I have been married for 24 years, and we’ve lived in Evergreen for about 15 of them. Together we have five children: Sophi (21, married to Micah Hemness), Eli (19), Faith (17), Eva (15), and Ezra (12). Professionally, I design and build software that crunches data.

That’s the snapshot. A lot happened in between. Sometimes I think of my faith walk as an ownership transfer. I was given these things, planted in this soil, but faith can’t be inherited. That transfer has happened in many ways, and I’d like to tell you about two of them.

The first is understanding. Part of owning your faith is reconciling it, working at it until the pieces fit and you can say why you believe what you believe. That work began as a teenager, when sermons stopped being long and boring. God’s word came to life as something rich and practical and relevant. In college, godly men sat with me one-on-one and patiently answered my questions. As an adult, my focus has been the continuity of Scripture: I want it to cohere, to fit, to be internally consistent. For some that leads to theology, to systems and frameworks. My questions led me toward history. Our faith isn’t only a set of ideas. It happened, in real places, to real people, and chasing that down has been deeply rewarding. And the more I understand, the clearer the main thing becomes: living my life as a disciple of Jesus. For me that means being a forever student, not only of ideas, but of His ways. I want to be like Him.

The second is suffering. Part of owning your faith is finding out whether it holds when everything else is taken away. Leaving home and my family of origin, I learned to trust the Lord alone. A prolonged illness took my physical strength and stability for a time. These experiences recalibrated my dependency away from myself and toward the Lord. But the hardest came early. Soon after I graduated from college, I was married. About eighteen months later the marriage imploded, ending in divorce a year after that. There were biblical grounds for it, but that didn’t make it any easier. In that season it felt like so much was lost, both present and future. What I learned wasn’t information. It was the reality of James 4:8, draw near to God and He will draw near to you.

I share that for two reasons. First, transparency: if you don’t already know this about me, I’d rather you hear it from me than from someone else. Second, because my family is a living example of God’s ability to bring beauty from ashes. I’m glad to tell that story, and glad to give God the glory.

There’s more to my faith than these two things, but they fill in the gap years and sketch me fairly well. My ministry grows out of these roots. I love God’s word and I love people, and both are eternal. I love to counsel, teach, and listen, and I’m not afraid to walk with someone through a trial and stay until it’s over. That’s what I have to offer my family, my friends, and the people God has placed in my life. Nothing is wasted.

I first heard the Gospel at Camp Elim as a junior high student. My friend's parents sent me to Camp with their son. The Seed was planted but didn't sprout until high school. During my high school years, I made a "profession of faith" and got baptized, but it wasn't until a year out of high school that I really got serious about following Christ.

In the fall of 1995, I moved to Littleton (to find a wife!) and started attending LBC. My goal was to find a wife who was interested in serving in ministry together. I met Heather in 1996, and we got married in Spring 1998. We served together in the high school youth group for 6 years until our 2nd child was born. After taking a few years off, we began co-leading the College and Career group in 2006. We served the CNC group for a little over 18 years in total and just passed the group off to LBC leaders in August. That ministry and demographic are our heartbeat; we absolutely love working with young singles! We did marriage mentoring and a lot of unofficial "counseling" throughout our years. We were very committed to the Missions Community group and love and support world missions and Camp workers. I have also been serving on the board of directors for Camp Elim for the past 14 years.

We would have never left LBC on our own, but we absolutely love CBC! There is nothing more important to us than to serve our local church and God's people. We have tried to live out 'every member ministry' to our best ability. I completely affirm our statement of faith and look forward to serving CBC in any capacity.

We have two adult children. Caleb is 25 and lives in east Denver, and Rebecca is 23 and is living in Indonesia.

1 Peter 5:2a Be shepherds of God's flock that is under your care, serving as overseers - not because you must, but because you are willing, as God wants you to be.

By God’s grace, I was raised in a wonderful Christian home with parents who modeled and displayed genuine Christ-like obedience and faithfulness to the Lord. Around seven years old, I made a profession of faith, and at 16 was baptized.

I started preaching at 17 and entered full-time ministry at the end of my undergraduate. In 2002 I was called to pastor Calvary Baptist Church (Calvary Englewood), in Englewood CO. In 2006 started full time at Littleton Bible Chapel (where Lonnalee was raised). I joyfully served at Littleton Bible Chapel until May of 2026. These were incredible years.

In August of 2026, the officers of Colorado Bible Church called me full time for a teaching elder role, similar to what my role at LBC was. My hearts desire is to study and teach the Bible and make disciples of Jesus. I want to study the Bible and do it; and bring others along with me. Our entire family is excited about this new church, and look forward to what the Lord has in store for us all.

We have three kids—Mollie (18), Ryle (17), and Georgia (13).

I was raised going to the Churches of Christ. Both my dad and grandfather were preachers in the churches I grew up in. I feel blessed to have grown up in a Christian home where praying and reading scripture were highly valued. At 17, the Spirit opened my eyes to the realization that my faith was my own, and I was baptized. I attended York College, a small Christian college in Nebraska. There I grew even more in my faith through small-group studies and interacting with some amazing Christians. I later transferred to Oklahoma Christian University and finished my degree. While at OC, I worked as a youth intern at a church in Norman, Oklahoma. As we moved for school and work, Robbie and I have been involved in several ministries both in Oklahoma and Colorado, including small group and youth ministries. I served as a deacon at Littleton Bible Chapel for the last seven years and sat in and observed with the elders off and on for about 3 years. I remember reading a book on eldership in college by Lynn Anderson, and he said that elders/shepherds should “smell like their sheep” because they are around their sheep and know them. I fully stand by CBC’s statement of faith and want to grow the Lord’s church with a “wide table and low fences” where Scripture is the final authority and the gospel is proclaimed. I desire to seek first His kingdom and I continually pray for wisdom and a heart to love more fully as Christ did. Robbie and I have two kids. Elijah, our son, is a 21-year-old student at the University of Northern Colorado studying finance, and our daughter, Brookelyn, is a 19-year-old student at the University of Missouri studying speech-language pathology.

I am blessed to come from a family where both sides have been Jesus followers and servants of the church for generations. My parents are faithful Christians whose lives show evidence of fruit through their engagement in church and service in the community. I attended a Christian school in Colorado Springs from kindergarten through high school, where the Bible was integrated into every subject. I remember the Gospel being presented to my class when I was in kindergarten and then accepting Christ as my Lord and Savior later that night with my parents. I had a practicing faith from that moment on…though I still had a lot of growth areas to address and understanding of life and scriptures ahead.

Biblical memorization was a core component of my development at school and church, and I am so thankful that God’s Word has been written into my heart and mental programing. The Bible has all the answers to all aspects of life, but the implementation of those principles can be challenging. As a teenager, I became puffed up with knowledge and was judgmental of others growing up in a Christian culture where obedience and image was praised. My participation in secular athletics and experience at the University of Colorado in Boulder helped me grow more understanding of those who were not following the Lord or struggled with their faith for a variety of reasons. Jesus’ ministry to the spiritually sick inspired me to grow in my love for all people.

I was also fortunate to attend Denver Seminary for my Counseling Master’s program, where I attended Old/New Testament and theology classes along with counseling training. I love helping people deal with the difficult areas of life and have observed the transformative influence of the Bible in people’s lives despite challenging circumstances. I’ve been studying humanity from the counselor’s chair for the past 15 years and believe there are a lot of points of application for church ministry.

Meeting my wife Brittany was a profound blessing to my life and spiritual walk as I found a godly woman with whom I was equally yoked. We came from the same Christian school and church culture, though we did not know of each other until we were both out of college due to a 4-year age gap. We both have a heart for church engagement and community, which sustained us through sweet and sour seasons in church. We led a small group and Bible study for years and facilitated a marriage retreat at a previous church, and it was so fun to see how our unique spiritual gifts were used to serve the church together.

Brittany and I agree that the successful management of our family is a priority and a requirement of an elder in the church. We have children aged 11 years to 4 years old, and we are loving this season of life raising our kids to know and love Jesus. We feel it is important to participate in church ministry and use our spiritual gifts even during a busy season of life. I have a passion for teaching and helping people connect in small groups where they can discuss application of the quality teaching from Sunday and be known and cared for on a personal level.

Our family feels confirmation that CBC is home and is excited to serve the body of believers! The elder/deacon and leadership groups are full of wise and godly men, and I feel the Lord is calling me to serve alongside them shepherding His flock and be edified by the mutual discipleship that needs to happen among those who lead the church.

"I appeal to you therefore, brothers, by the mercies of God, to present your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and acceptable to God, which is your spiritual worship. Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewal of your mind, that by testing you may discern what is the will of God, what is good and acceptable and perfect." - Romans 12:1-2

I grew up as a pastor’s kid and came to faith in Christ at a young age. The church, the Bible, and the gospel were always a part of my life. I genuinely believed in Jesus and intellectually knew God was real. When I went away to college, I began to pursue what the world had to offer. I joined a fraternity, sought out parties, heavy drinking and lived a lifestyle that looked very different from the faith I had grown up with.

During my junior year, I met Michael, a leader with CRU (then Campus Crusade for Christ). I casually told him, “I think I might do that CRU thing this year.” He looked right at me and simply said, “No, you won’t.” That bothered me enough that I decided I was going to prove him wrong!

As I got involved with CRU and Michael began to mentor me, the Lord began drawing me back to Himself. As my faith became real and central in my life again, my first instinct was to separate myself from everything associated with my old lifestyle including quitting the fraternity and all the friends I developed over my first years of college.

But, Michael challenged me again. It turns out CRU had tried for years to influence the Greek Life Community (Fraternities and Sororities). Could I be a Godly example within my fraternity? Could I maintain my place on campus and still live for Jesus? I began to understand what it meant to live “on mission” where God had already placed me.

My walk with Christ since then has certainly not been a straight line. One of the most significant areas of sin in my life has been pornography. I was exposed to it at a very young age, and what began early became a struggle that followed me into adulthood and even into my marriage. I compounded that sin by hiding it from both Lauren and other men to hold me accountable.

God has used confession, counseling, my wife’s grace, Christian brothers, and genuine accountability to bring that part of my life out of darkness and into the light. I have learned that freedom does not come through managing appearances or trying harder in secret. It comes through repentance, dependence on Christ, and allowing other believers to truly know you. I can confidently say “that’s never happening again” and God has freed me from my sins and made me a new creation.

I am grateful that God has been faithful through every part of my story. My desire in serving as a deacon is not to present myself as someone who has everything figured out, but as someone who has experienced the patience and grace of God and wants to use whatever gifts He has given me to serve His church, love people well, and help others faithfully follow Christ wherever God has placed them.

God has designed me as a builder. Efficiency is probably the best word to describe how I work. Although my service at the church is currently focused on administration, in most areas of my life I serve as a visionary. I love seeing what could be and then working to turn those visions into reality.

I was not raised in a Christian home. Growing up, our family only attended church on Christmas and Easter. When I was 21 years old, I met a Christian family at a church carwash, and they invited me to attend church with them. I began going to Mission Hills Baptist Church in Littleton, and through the faithful teaching of God's Word, God gradually revealed to me that I was a sinner in need of a Savior. A few months later I accepted Christ as my Lord and Savior. After coming to faith, I became actively involved in church and served in several ministries.

Fast forward seven months….I was introduced to the world of dirt bikes. I quickly developed a love for riding, and by the end of that summer I was racing motocross. Over the next nine years, I pursued my dream of becoming a professional motocross racer. My time, energy, and resources became focused on that pursuit, and my walk with Christ suffered as a result. Church attendance became rare, and my spiritual life was nearly nonexistent as I drifted back into a life centered on my own desires.

During those years, I remained in contact with a few friends from church. One of them invited me to a singles Bible study where we studied J.I. Packer's book Knowing God. Through that study, God began working in my heart and showed me that I was not living the life He had called me to live. I began reevaluating my priorities and renewing my commitment to Him.

It was during that time that I met my beautiful wife, Tracey. Soon after, I recommitted my life to Christ and was baptized as a public expression of my faith.

Tracey and I have now been married for 35 years. We are blessed with two adult children, both of whom are married: our son, Zach, is married to Becky, and our daughter, Kelsie, is married to Nick. We also have two wonderful grandchildren, Lucas and Mabel, who bring us great joy.

Today, I am a committed follower of Jesus Christ with a sincere desire to serve the Lord, support the mission of the church, and care for others. My passion is to use the gifts, experiences, and opportunities God has given me to encourage, assist, and serve those around me.

My parents were missionaries in the Middle East. I was born in Jordan, at the age of 4 we moved to Egypt, and when I was 11 we moved to England where I lived for 15 years. I became a Christian somewhere around the age of 5 or 6. Growing up in Egypt, surrounded by Christians, I didn't have to wrestle with my faith. It permeated my life and my relationships. Moving to England was a huge cultural shock for me and I became even more introverted than I already was. I was highly involved in our church, youth group, and bible studies, but my heart was hardened by sin and loneliness. So while I studied about God, I could not love Him and my faith was empty.

I studied Computer Science at the University of Bristol, England. Wanting to start my own company one day, I moved to the US for the investment opportunities here. Shortly after moving, I met my wife Jessica, and God used our relationship to expose the loneliness I'd been struggling with and to fill that hole. I also began to learn that my knowledge about God aided my love for God. I love God more when I begin to grasp the magnitude of the sacrifice it was for Jesus to come and die for me.

A year after we were married, Jess and I started a group at church for newly married couples and spent about 6 years leading that. Jess has the gift of hospitality and we love to bless people with that. We celebrated our 10y anniversary in March 2026 and have 4 wonderful boys, Kaleb 8, Lucas 6, Matthew 3, and Nathan 1.

The reason I put my name forward to be considered for Deacon is because I desire to use the talents that God has given me as a good servant. I genuinely enjoy administration, processes, workflows, and everything technical, and would love the opportunity to apply those skills for God's glory. I think they are especially useful at this stage in a church plant where most of those processes and workflows have yet to be established.

"If I speak in the tongues of men and of angels, but have not love, I am a noisy gong or a clanging cymbal. And if I have prophetic powers, and understand all mysteries and all knowledge, and if I have all faith, so as to remove mountains, but have not love, I am nothing. If I give away all I have, and if I deliver up my body to be burned, but have not love, I gain nothing." - 1 Corinthians 13:1-3
"And it is my prayer that your love may abound more and more, with knowledge and all discernment." - Philippians 1:9

Both Marina and I are blessed to come from families that love God and serve Him. Growing up in the church, I would say it was easy to talk the talk, but less easy to fake the walk as I got older. Even though I grew up in church, I really didn’t feel like my faith became authentic until we started having kids. Very early on, the Lord impressed the seriousness of being a godly husband and father on me. It is a responsibility I hold in the highest regard.

When our first child was born in 2016, we were experiencing our third year in marriage, a divorce in the family, and learning how to do life together. Marina and I are blessed to be high school sweethearts, but with this also came the challenge of learning how to grow up together. My dear wife, has been forced to experience my stages of maturity or, lack there of, in our almost 18 years of relationship. For most of that time, I constantly felt behind and lagging in our spiritual walks.

I am thankful beyond words for my wife, as she challenged me about certain idols that I was clinching my fist around, soon after our second was born. I firmly believe that the challenge she gave me set my life on a different path. Instead of just talking the talk, I felt the Lord pull me towards a more authentic and life-giving faith. One of my best friends also posed the question about the genuineness of my faith at that time. He pointed to several fruits in my life that were not great, he chose to bring accountability to my doorstep, even though I met him with anger and defensiveness. The Lord used both him and my wife to draw me closer to Himself, to recognize the seriousness of my sin, and to fully embrace the blessing of leading my family towards Christ.

We absolutely love our CBC church family. And I want to serve it with every gift that I can. This community has been a fortifying and gracious group towards my family, and I want to help grow it the same way it has helped us.

I was born in Colorado and was blessed to grow up in a faithful Christian family that prioritized home education, apologetics, service, and hospitality. During my high school years, I was challenged to make my faith my own, and I have seen the Lord's work and blessing in my life as He has continued the work of sanctifying my heart.

Toward the end of high school, I met my future wife, Katie, and together we attended Ravencrest Chalet, a Torchbearers Bible school in Estes Park. We later married and worked on staff there together, ministering to young adults—a ministry we still find so much joy in. You know Katie is a rockstar if you've ever met her. I wouldn't be half the man I am today without her biblical wisdom, encouragement, and support.

The Lord has blessed Katie and me with three children. If I had to describe our family culture, I'd say we love quality time, we love showing hospitality, and we love to be silly with each other.

My wife and I own a couple of small businesses, and for the last couple of years we have served together at church with the young adults through teaching and mentoring. I have also served in music ministry and participated in worship teams for many years.

Through my theological training in biblical counseling and the Littleton Bible Chapel School of Ministry, I developed a particular interest in helping people understand Scripture. I have also grown to see how a "renewed mind" can bring about life-giving transformation as we bring our lives into submission to Christ's truth.

I am grateful for the opportunity to be considered for deaconship and would be honored to serve the church in whatever ways are useful, helping strengthen its ministry and care for its people.

William Pearson

William Pearson Bio Image

“But I am among you as the one who serves.” Luke 22:27 (ESV)
  • Family: Married to Jill Pearson; son Oliver Pearson; daughter Jessica VerWayne
  • CBC: Deacon Candidate; Men’s Bible Study Leader; CBC Care Ministry
  • Work: Senior Project Manager in commercial construction
  • Ministry Heart: Scripture, discipleship, caring for the body, servant leadership, and watchfulness for Christ’s return

My story is ultimately a story of God’s grace. I am a sinner saved by grace through faith in Jesus Christ, and the longer I walk with Him, the more I recognize how faithful He has been throughout my life. My hope isn’t in anything I have done, but entirely in Jesus Christ, who took the punishment for my sin on the cross, rose from the grave, and gave me a life I could never earn for myself.

There is also a part of my story that isn’t pretty. I spent seasons of my life deeply entrenched in sin, living much more for myself than for Christ. I knew better in many ways, but I still chose my own way. There were consequences, brokenness, and things I wish I could go back and change. Those years taught me something I never want to forget: I desperately need Jesus. I needed His forgiveness then, I need His grace today, and I will need Him every day for the rest of my life.

When I look back now, I don’t see a story about how I finally got my act together. I see the patience and mercy of a God who continued to pursue me, humble me, discipline me, forgive me, and draw me back to Himself. Whatever good anyone may see in my life today is evidence that God’s grace is real and that He is still changing me.

I am blessed to share this life with my wife, Jill. The Lord has used our marriage and our experiences together to teach me much about love, grace, patience, forgiveness, and walking faithfully with Christ. Jill is an incredible encouragement to me, and I am grateful that we get to pursue the Lord together and serve His Church side by side.

God has also given me a deep hunger for His Word. I love studying Scripture and asking difficult questions because I want to know Christ more deeply and understand what He has actually said. I want Scripture to continually examine me, correct me, and change me.

I love Christ’s Church and want CBC to be a place where He is exalted, His Word is faithfully taught, the Gospel remains central, and people are genuinely known, loved, prayed for, discipled, and cared for.

As I have prayed about serving CBC as a Deacon, I keep coming back to Jesus’ words, “But I am among you as the one who serves” (Luke 22:27). I don’t see becoming a Deacon as receiving a position or title, but as accepting a responsibility to serve Christ by serving His people. If the Lord and the congregation affirm me, my desire is simple: to faithfully serve Christ, love His people, help care for His Church, and be found faithfully serving when our Lord returns.

My Vision for Colorado Bible Church

My vision for Colorado Bible Church begins with Jesus Christ. This is His Church. He is the Head, His Word is our authority, His Gospel is our message, and His mission should shape everything we do.

I want CBC to be a church that doesn't simply know the Word of God, but lives it. James tells us to “be doers of the word, and not hearers only” (James 1:22). I want us to study Scripture deeply, teach it faithfully, and put it into action in our marriages, families, workplaces, neighborhoods, and relationships with one another. What we believe should change how we live.

I want CBC to be a church where people are known, loved, prayed for, discipled, and cared for. When someone is hurting, struggling, grieving, sick, lonely, or beginning to drift away, somebody should notice. Care should happen throughout the body, with church family caring for church family, Deacons helping coordinate practical needs, and Elders faithfully shepherding and spiritually overseeing the flock.

I also want CBC to have a heart for those who don't yet know Jesus. We should boldly and lovingly proclaim the Gospel, make disciples, welcome people into our lives, and pray that the Lord uses CBC to bring many people to repentance and saving faith in Christ. God gives the growth; our responsibility is to faithfully plant, water, serve, love, and proclaim Christ.

I believe we must also be watchful. That means remaining anchored in God's Word, guarding sound doctrine, recognizing spiritual dangers, caring when someone begins to wander, and having the courage to speak truth with humility, grace, and love. We watch because we love Christ, His truth, and His people.

Finally, I want CBC to live with an expectant hope in the return of Jesus Christ. Jesus is coming again. That should not make us fearful or consumed with speculation. It should make us faithful. His return should give us urgency for the Gospel, compassion for the lost, courage to stand for truth, a desire for holiness, and an eagerness to serve while there is still work to be done.

As a Deacon, I simply want to help CBC live these things out faithfully and serve wherever the Lord and our Elders believe I can be useful.

My vision for CBC is simple: Know Christ deeply. Know His Word faithfully. Live what we believe. Love and care for one another genuinely. Proclaim the Gospel boldly. Make disciples faithfully. Serve humbly.

Watch expectantly. And be found doing the work Christ gave us when He returns.

“But be doers of the word, and not hearers only...” - James 1:22
“He who testifies to these things says, ‘Surely I am coming soon.’ Amen. Come, Lord Jesus!” - Revelation 22:20 ESV
